     MaryLee Verda Reynolds, 99, of Washington, formerly of Columbia, MO, passed away at 5:45 a.m. on Thursday, December 30, 2010, at Methodist Medical Center in Peoria.

     She was born on July 25, 1911, in Liberty, MO, the daughter of Pastor William G. and Myrtle Pearl (Lee) Hagerman. She married Ralph S. Monroe, Sr. on October 19, 1931 in Booneville, MO. He preceded her in death on April 21, 1973. She married Herbert Reynolds in 1976 in Columbia, MO. He preceded her in death in 1987. She was also preceded in death by her infant brother, Frederick, and one granddaughter, Naomi Monroe.

     MaryLee is survived by her children, Ralph (Barbara) Monroe Jr. of East Peoria, Bill (Zandra) Monroe of Gardner, KS, Verda Hendren of Columbia, Roberta (Charles Dyer) Monroe of Bellingham, WA and Richard Monroe of Murfreesboro, TN; nine grandchildren; twenty-four great grandchildren; and one great-great grandson.

     She was of the Baptist faith and was the former owner and operator of the Ole’ Boone Barbeque in Columbia. She crocheted, sewed, and played the piano with skill and love for her friends and family.

     Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. on Tuesday, January 4, 2011, at Clary Funeral Home, 428 West McClure Avenue, in Peoria, with Pastor Steve Weber officiating. There will be no visitation. Interment will be in Prospect Cemetery in Dunlap.

glad to see everyone at the funeral you all took great care of grandma i wish i could spent more time with her in her last years and with all of you i really miss all of you it was good to see you all again after all of these years i love you all rs and barney and everybody why do we not stay in touch we are family and we should not wait to lose somone in order to see each other grandma was a very big part of me when i was growing up and we should not let time pass us by  well if you all need anything just call my phone # is (913)526-4895 i sure miss you all i didn`t realize how much until i saw you all love you randy and family love you grandma i know you are presant with the lord god bless.

To Noni and R.S. and all his family, I wish I could be there to hug each and everyone of you.  You all took such sweet care of Mama, and I want to thank you from the bottom of my heart.  Mama loved you all and was very grateful to spend her last years close to so many in her family.
